Take-Two Interactive (NASDAQ: TTWO) is a video game juggernaut behind Rockstar Games (creator of Grand Theft Auto), NBA 2K, BioShock, Borderlands and Red Dead Redemption. It has a stellar lineup of gaming classics across consoles, and a back catalogue to make every teenager envious.
With a strong intellectual property portfolio and increasing digital revenue, Take-Two shares are well-positioned for the future. However, its stock often moves on the success (or delay) of major game releases, this makes buying Take-Two Interactive shares a volatile but potentially rewarding investment.
May 15, 2025: In its earnings call for the final quarter of its fiscal year, Take Two Interactive evaluated the impact of delaying Grand Theft Auto VI's release. Revenue in the quarter was up 13% year on year, but a $3.55b goodwill impairment charge was the main contributor to a $3.73b net loss. The decision to delay the release was addressed too: it's the game's "unprecedented ambition and complexity" (and in fairness it's likely to end up being the most expensive game ever produced, at more than $1b). Looking ahead, Chairman and CEO Strauss Zelnick said: "We are providing our initial financial outlook for Fiscal 2026, including Net Bookings of $5.9 to $6b, which represents 5% year-over-year growth at the midpoint of the range". That estimate might seem conservative, given all the hype, but Rockstar now expects to release GTA VI on 26 May 2026 – which is technically in its 2027 fiscal year.
May 7, 2025: Take-Two Interactive shares dipped following news that the hotly anticipated GTA VI game had been delayed until May 2026, however the shares bounced back after a new trailer for the game was dropped online.
April 24, 2025: Ahead of Take-Two's closedly-watched May 15 Q4 earnings report, analysts at BMO Capital Markets reiterated an 'Outperform' rating on the stock and a one-year price target of $240. The update came before markets opened, and by the end of the day TTWO was up more than 5%. The optimism is in no small part due to Grand Theft Auto VI's hotly-anticipated release, slated for this autumn.

Valuing a stock is incredibly difficult, and any metric has to be viewed as part of a bigger picture of overall performance. However, analysts commonly use some key metrics to help gauge value. Check out the Take-Two Interactive P/E ratio, PEG ratio and EBITDA.
Take-Two Interactive's "price/earnings-to-growth ratio" can be calculated by dividing its P/E ratio by its growth – to give 3.6705. Higher PEG ratios such as this can be interpreted as meaning the shares offer worse value given the current rate of growth.
The PEG ratio provides a broader view than just the P/E ratio, as it gives more insight into Take-Two Interactive's future profitability. By accounting for growth, it could also help you if you're comparing the share prices of multiple high-growth companies.
However, it's sensible to consider Take-Two Interactive's PEG ratio in relation to those of similar companies.
Take-Two Interactive's EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) is $448.9 million (£334.7 million).
The EBITDA is a measure of Take-Two Interactive's overall financial performance and is widely used to measure a its profitability.
To put that into context you can compare it against similar companies.
